About this project

Project Location: Washington, DC

Date project completed: Spring 2015

Project Description:
2917 Glover Drive, a Georgian Colonial residence located in the prestigious neighborhood of Wesley Heights was renovated from top to bottom, with much thought and attention to every detail.  The rooms are large and well proportioned, with tall ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors and new windows filling the house with natural light.

The main level features a gracious foyer, formal and casual living room, gourmet eat-in kitchen, mud entrance, main-level powder room, and an elevated deck.  The second level features four large bedrooms and two decks overlooking the garden.  This level also features laundry machines for convenient use.  The third level features a sixth bedroom with full bathroom and fireplace.  This room can be used as an additional bedroom. The finished, light-filled basement features tall ceilings and a closet space and access to the attached garage.  The outdoor area features stone patios, a beautifully landscaped Japanese garden, a bubbling brook and waterfall.

Elegant and original architectural details are preserved and featured throughout.  The original banister and mantel were restored and the baseboards and moldings were selected in keeping with the vintage of this special home.
