About this project
Project Location: Reston, VA
Date project completed: Spring 2010
As a result of massive water infiltration, the side and rear of this single family home suffered significant damage. The work to correct this damage provided a basis for a wonderful renovation taking the rear facade from two sliding glass doors and 2 punched windows to a wall of operable doors physically and visually connecting the interior to the picturesque woods and creek beyond.
The interior of the home was opened up taking advantage of the extensive views. The kitchen and dining room locations were switched creating a cohesive interior environment. A new deck was installed with its plan having different angles to further enhance view corridors.
